베이그는 기아(Kia)와 오션클린업(The Ocean Cleanup)의 글로벌 파트너십을 바탕으로, 해양 폐기물에 새로운 가치를 부여하는 순환의 여정을 담은 다섯 번째 에피소드 "From Waste to Weekend Escape"를 제작했습니다. 태평양 거대 쓰레기 지대(Great Pacific Garbage Patch)는 세계에서 가장 거대한 해양 플라스틱 집적지입니다. 기아는 오션클린업과 함께 오랜 시간 바다를 떠돌던 플라스틱을 첨단 수거 시스템으로 회수하고, 이를 세척과 가공, 엄격한 품질 검증 과정을 거쳐 새로운 자원으로 다시 탄생시키는 여정을 함께하고 있습니다. 베이그는 거친 해양 환경에서 시작된 폐플라스틱이 새로운 제품으로 재탄생하는 과정을 하나의 연속된 비주얼 플로우로 구성했습니다. 폐기물은 더 이상 끝이 아닌 새로운 시작이 되며, 태평양 거대 쓰레기 지대의 플라스틱으로 제작된 Kia EV3 Limited Edition Trunk Liner는 순환경제가 만들어내는 지속가능한 가능성을 상징적으로 보여줍니다.

VEIG created "From Waste to Weekend Escape," the fifth episode of the global partnership campaign
between Kia and The Ocean Cleanup, celebrating the transformation of ocean plastic into meaningful new possibilities. At the heart of the story is the Great Pacific Garbage Patch - the world's largest accumulation of marine plastic. Together with The Ocean Cleanup, Kia supports the recovery of weathered plastic that has drifted across the ocean for decades, bringing it back to shore where it is cleaned, processed, and rigorously tested to meet automotive quality standards. VEIG visualized this transformation as a continuous journey - from discarded waste to refined material, and ultimately to purposeful design. The result is the Kia EV3 Limited Edition Trunk Liner, the first vehicle accessory made from plastic recovered from the Great Pacific Garbage Patch, demonstrating how even the most challenging waste can become a valuable resource for a more sustainable future.
